Wall soundproofing

We offer a range of soundproofing solutions for walls to meet every client's needs.

Our wall systems will give you between 17 and 26 decibel improvement.

All our systems can be upgraded to reduce your noise problem further. This can be done by incorporating different systems together or by upgrading the plasterboard with acoustic panels and membranes. All systems can be tailor made to fit your needs and circumstances.

We will always offer a free no obligation consultation either via an onsite visit or telephone conversation to help you understand the best solution for your needs.

Independent 120mm acoustic clip system

-Install 5mm rubber isolation strips to the flanking perimeters of the        offending wall.

- Install the independent  47mm x 47mm timber frame 10mm from the offending wall.

 - Friction fit 50mm mineral wool (60kg/m3 density for optimum              sound insulation) in between the existing joists.

 - Install the acoustic clips (A sound absorbing rubber backed clip) to the joists 600mm centres with wood screws.

 - Install metal furring strips to acoustic clips to screw the                              plasterboard to.

 - Install the first layer of 15mm sound shield plasterboard and seal the      5mm perimeter gap with acoustic sealant.

 - Fit the self adhesive mass loaded membrane to the plasterboard. (A high quality, high density polymer acoustic membrane)

 - Install the final layer of 12.5mm sound shield plasterboard and seal            the 5mm perimeter gap with acoustic sealant.

  • Airborne performance:  +/- 60%
  • Loss in depth:  +/- 120mm / 5 inch

SM20 Rubber Panel System with dB boards

  1. This system involves installing 1m x 1m x 20mm thick rubber to the existing wall sealed with acoustic mastic (works on both stud walls and masonry walls).

  2. Install the 15mm DB boards (A 15mm corrugated acoustic panel filled with fine sand) to the battens and seal the perimeters with acoustic mastic.

    3. Install the final layer of 15mm sound shield plasterboard and seal            the 5mm perimeter gap with acoustic sealant.

  • Airborne performance:  +/- 50%
  • Loss in depth:  +/- 45mm

Acoustic clip system direct to wall

(This system works on both stud walls and masonry walls).

  1. This system involves installing acoustic clips directly to the existing wall at 600mm spacings.

  2. Glue 25mm acoustic mineral wool (60kg/m3 density for optimum sound insulation) in between the acoustic clips.

  3. Install metal furring strips to acoustic clips to screw the plasterboard to.

  4. Install the first layer of 15mm sound shield plasterboard and seal the   5mm perimeter gap with acoustic sealant.

  5. Fit the self adhesive mass loaded membrane to the plasterboard. (A high quality, high density polymer acoustic membrane)

   6. Install the final layer of 15mm sound shield plasterboard and seal               the 5mm perimeter gap with acoustic sealant.

  • Airborne performance:  +/- 50-55%
  • Loss in depth:  +/- 75mm
